  1. This title should be “It’s not Profitable Being Green” these dirt bags will never move forward on being self sustainable because it results in no money. Get of the grid now. Lead the future and stop being a slave to the machine.

  2. @NCVenusProjectTeam – I’m good with paying cheap energy bills, even though the US’s energy bills are some of the highest in the world. I’m good with paying my current electric bill of $28/mo. Switching to Green energy and putting my apartment into a Smart Grid that’s integrated into the whole city would run my energy bill up till it costs more than my rent. Taking this building off the grid isn’t even an option.

  3. @Slipknotyk06 Thanks for the reply. You’ve been told that it’s not an option. I suggest you check out passive solar heating and Verticle Axis Wind Turbines. We’ve been conditioned by the energy companies that their are no other solutions. If all else fails, evolve and move to where you can become free. I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say let… lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may. Good luck!

  4. @NCVenusProjectTeam – The building that I live in… it would be cheaper to knock it down and rebuild it ‘green’ than to renovate. It’s a 4-story apartment building with 32 units built in the 1950s. Truth be told, it’s probably not even up to modern code.
It doesn’t have enough roof space to power all 32 units with solar panels, and I’d move out if they mounted those turbines because they’re ungodly ugly and they make hideous noise, plus all this stuff is expensive. Over $1M for the building
